The love for animals and for the territory of origin has always led us to formulate foods that make use of the properties of ingredients natural and exclusive, typical of the Sicilian territory or of Italian origin. All Adragna Pet food recipes are implemented both through the support of nutrition experts and through a direct relationship with the main suppliers of raw materials. The raw materials analysis phase is, on the other hand, followed by internal staff and external research and development bodies, including the best Veterinary Sciences departments in Italy.
All our recipes do not contain added preservatives and dyes, we do not use GMO ingredients and we do not carry out tests on animals (cruelty Free).
We care about the welfare of animals and we believe that to create an excellent food no experimentation on them is necessary, but it is enough to make the most of the technical and nutritional knowledge in our possession.
We chose not to add in ours products no additives synthetic such as preservatives and dyes artificial.
We chose to use exclusively raw materials from crops without organisms genetically modified.
Food for dogs and cats since 1973
At the beginning
Adragna Alimenti Zootecnici srl was founded in Alcamo (Trapani) by Adragna Salvatore and initially dedicated to the production of food for livestock.
FOCUS WELLNESS DOGS AND CATS
The production of dry petfood started. Dog&Co and Cat&Co were the first two brands.
In the new millennium
The company obtains the quality certification UNI EN ISO 9001 and is between the first in Italy to obtain also certification Environmental according to UNI EN ISO 14001.
START THE PROCESS OF INTERNATIONALIZATION
Thanks to the network of networking undertaken during Zoomark and other international events Adragna Pet Food begins its export business in the world.
It is launched NAXOS
Adragna Pet Food participates at the Interzoo in Nuremberg with Naxos the first line of pet food with Sicilian citrus fruits, Monoproteic and Gluten Free!
CONTINUOUS INNOVATION WITH THE WELLNESS LINES
They are thrown on the market the Dog & Co Wellness and Cat & Co Wellness lines with ingredients functional and inspired by the Mediterranean diet.
